December Depression
Well, here we are, that time of year again. Boy this year has brought so much change in my life. Daughter graduates from college, get braces off and get married...I am stuck in a long dark hole, when I look up I see a slight glimmer of light...I know I should be happy with health, home, friends, family but deep down inside of me, I search for my purpose, my passion. I feel lost and isolated and unable to explain why I feel this way. This is usually my most favorite time of year. But, I am unable to connect to what is important to me. Not having a job, a study job with people who care about me, is something I miss. For all, or most of my life I have worked and been an responsible employee...I guess that was my passion. Now with with "empty nest", I wonder what I am suppose to do and who I am, and what is my purpose....I need a reason to get up in the morning, I need to be kind to the people, let them know that it is okay to laugh even though we have to work... I just keep hoping and putting my trust in the one person that makes me not have to worry. I know that my Lord had a plan for me and that I need to be open to this time. But I am getting lost...again!

Insomnia
It's just a normal process, I am told, to put your head down on the pillow and let your brain unwind. To let your body rest from a long day on your feet. But some people are not able to just turn off the day. To just relax and drift off to sleep. I finally understood the meaning of "sleeping like a baby". God knows I would love to do that. I often wonder if that is why God doesn't let you remember that part of your life. It was just too good to be true. If I could only "sleep like a baby" again.
